Hello friends! Yep, I’ve moved my newsletter to a new platform. Previous subscribers know that I used to be on Revue, a newsletter platform that Twitter is now shutting down. Because of the holiday—and because of the platform transition—I was planning to take today off, but I thought I would send you all a quick message on the new platform to make sure everything is working OK.
You’ll be receiving my newsletter as an email from Substack, every two weeks, from now on. The next regular issue will be Jan. 14. A hearty welcome to the new subscribers who have already found me here! And no, I have no plans to start monetizing this newsletter. I do this as part of my “public scholarship” work—and I do it so that I have to keep up with climate news myself.
Substack has some nicer opportunities for interacting, so I hope we can get to know each other a little better as we continue to work as people of faith concerned about the climate crisis and eager to learn more, do more, and go deeper.
In order to practice my new Substack skills, I’ll conclude with one good-news Twitter thread to check out, a nice photo, and some warm wishes.
Here’s the Twitter thread, in which Dr. Leah Stokes sums up 14 hopeful climate stories from 2022.
And here’s the photo of Lake Michigan, just for your end-of-year contemplation and joy.
Finally, I wish you are very happy new year, full of good news, good community, and good work. See you on Jan. 14!
Thanks for moving to Substack. I love the ease of the Substack platform and its aggregation of the various writers I follow. Wishing you a joyous new year.
