In your first item, your students reacting to the slide from Calvin College, I hope the age categories represent life-expectancy conditions, not degrees of concern. As an 80-year-old I realize I am not very likely to live long enough to experience the end of human life on earth, but I am deeply concerned about my children and grandchildren and do as much as I can to reduce my own carbon footprint, encourage others to also do so, and advocate for government intervention.
Congrats on 50! I admire the persistence and perseverance this takes, especially at such a high level of synthesis and commentary. This newsletter is a balm. Strength and courage to your dear students - and to us all.
